Heh - I know Pan Tau! Even though it's Czech, it's similar obviously! I hadn't known about the female form though. And the ty is similar to the Russian you then.

That seems to count for a lot of German words in the Russian or general Slavic languages! My friend from Kazhakstan sent me a whole list of German words that get used. Must be all those emigrants.

At least in Eastern Germany, we had adopted a few Russian ones in exchange. Subbotnik for work that was done in a Saturday (without payment) or Datsche for a small weekend house. You also can still eat Soljanka over here in some restaurants.
