I'm sure everyone going to the cinema tonight will have already seen the episode on Saturday. No one but Whovians will be there, I'm sure, and no one was going to wait! It's crazy though...I think I would have had to go all the way to New York to see it in the cinema on saturday and since it seemed like it was only in 3D everywhere, there was no point.

I watched a short film, about a half-hour long, in 3D when I was at Disney World last year. I had to take the 3D glasses off part of the way through, and it took quite a while for me to get my equilibrium back after it was over. I was so queasy! So, no 3D movies for me! I even have trouble with the short 3D segments during John's panto but at least they are short and I can always just take the glasses off and wait for it to be over.

If they had only had the important bits like the Gallifreyan picture in 3D (with instructions on screen: put your 3D glasses on now!) I could have gone, but with the whole thing in 3D? I think not.

I haven't noticed Doctor Who episodes airing faster on BBCAmerica, but they do love to leave out bits of episodes to make more room for commercials.
