Customizing: Spider from "Shaun the sheep"
Some months ago we watched the "Shaun the Sheep" movie with my mother and she commented on how she loved the spider and wants one. We often jokingly say things like that, but I made her one for Christmas!
I used an old cellulose ball from a stash that my grandfather had given me back in my East Germany childhood like 30 years ago. Some wire I had left from making the Gotham police precinct railing, and the rest is Milliput.

Got even a reply from Aardman!

We once drove with a Taxi from Bristol to somewhere else and the driver was all like "Have you seen Wallace & Gromit" but at the time I only knew "Shaun the Sheep" and "Chicken Run". But then they had an Aardman Day at TV, showing all the movies at once. So I educated myself ;)

I once gave my mother a fridge magnet with a fluffy spider and the affection kinda grew from there. And this one from the Shaun the Sheep movie really was too funny to look at.

I'm sure you know the mentality of former East Germany and might have been the same in your country: The things you cannot buy, you have to make yourself!
I had friends over at the weekend and showed them my selfmade Winnetou and Old Shatterhand figures that I made as a teenager. They were most impressed.
