AFT multicrossover: President Obama meets Doctor Who meets Star Trek
Today's story was inspired by President Obama talking about Star Trek recently. I thought he might want to meet his hero!
Please find some more detailed pictures and close-ups behind the cut.
(Look what he has on his table ;) )
Edit: Look at the high praise I got from Quantum Mechanix! "These photo shoots are about the best thing in my day. This one is epic! #LLAP" https://twitter.com/QMxInsider/status/787756978084904966
There was more also: "It's bigger on the inside ;)" https://twitter.com/QMxInsider/status/787757067750805504
Comment to the close-up of tiny figures: "oh my gosh that's just way too cool!!! :)"https://twitter.com/QMxInsider/status/787764540914237440
And me explaining about how I made the glass table from photoframes: "incredibly clever and creative! Great work!" https://twitter.com/QMxInsider/status/787766856761348097
Just the setting:

(Where are the teeny tiny action figures on the coffee table from?)

They came with this shuttlecraft model here: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/182870.html
The Innerspace line had several ships and also a bridge and other rooms and the complete crew of "Next Generation". Of TOS these are sadly the only two figures. But they can even move arms and legs, like real figures!
(and here is how I made the coffe table from a glass plate and some photo frames: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/131518.html)

So your figure of Obama has his own figures who maybe have their own, even smaller figures... Never ending story!
I love Ten's pose when he's standing at the door of the TARDIS with his hand streched out. Would anyone turn down his invitation?

I can imagine what he sees, which is the TARDIS landing. "What is that?"
There was a Doctor Who episode where the Doctor visited a president - I think it was Nixon? Nobody had an idea how he had gotten into the office without being detected. It got more weird when he seemed to lean onto thin air without falling over. Turned out, he had cloaked the TARDIS ;)

Planting ideas into my head again? ;) I have *count* at least four different sizes of figures. May be worth a try!
Have I shown you how I make these glass tables? http://dieastra.livejournal.com/131518.html

May be worth a try!
I've already told you, it went out amazing ;)

I hear he doesn't like his action figure too much - that's a shame, as I do love it. I guess once he isn't president anymore I won't get many chances to use it.
