Introduction: Mattel Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park, Amber Collection)

I saw this Ian Malcolm on a friend's Instagram and couldn't resist. There are many others in different sizes out there, but the small ones look cheap and don't have much articulation. This is the first that I thought looks really good. He's 6" and comes from the new "Amber collection".

I'm not into any other Jurassic Park stuff but a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do! Who can resist Jeff Goldblum? I'm sure we'll have fun together.

Unbelievable! Haha, this is him with all his charm. And you added to it by your clever and elegant arrangement.:-)

Dang, love that articulation! He looks so casual in your last pic, body language is just like the man himself :D

The articulation on these figures really has gotten very good in the past years. Double knees and sometimes double elbows too, which means you can bend them all the way instead of just 90°.

When I started with the Stargate figures in 2006, some of them did not even have knees! I only can have them standing. And their feet are not moving at all, so if I put them into a walking stance, they topple over.

Then with the Star Trek figures, the shoulders are still stiff, but at least the feet move, so they can put one foot in front of the other which is a huge improvement in my opinion.

Someone did that you know which famous Ian Malcolm pose with the broken leg with this figure ;) I saw a picture.

He was meant to stay single but I just saw a picture of the next guy in the line - that Nedry guy who stole the sample, and I'm afraid I'll have to get him too. I really did not want to start yet another collection LOL

It's really cool to see how much design and engineering change over the years. I promised myself that I would stick to collecting Transformers no matter how cool anything else looks but I've been tempted again and again...

Lol! Not surprising! I would be disappointed to learn otherwise, tbh XD

Haha, aw, it'll be good for him to have a friend, though! And you can always stop at just the two of them, right? ;D

It looks so good! I love the last picture best. Ian looks very chill!

Yes! I just quickly cobbled this together, I plan to do a bigger picture with several of these men sitting and standing and drinking, in my new mansion set, with Alfred the butler serving them ;)

That sounds fun! Can't wait to see the pictures :)
