Booze

I got new booze! I have so many already, but I always like to buy some more. This is part of a bigger set by Re-Ment, you can build a whole bar if you like.
I love how you can play with it, you can fill the glasses (the liquids are extra pieces) and even the decorating lemons are extra.

The figure is Dr. Robert Ford from "Westworld", played by Sir Anthony Hopkins. I don't really watch the show but bought the figures anyway as they look so great. So I took these pictures and just before posting I read that he apparently struggled with alcohol abuse and has been clean for decades now.

I'm sorry, I had no idea. I still love my pictures though and so still want to share them. It's just meant to be a figure, not a comment on his person.

Mulder is telling a ghost story.
Then at night a real ghost turns up.
"Scully! Scully, wake up! You'll never believe this!"

I got the new Mansion set from Extreme Sets and I love it! But it is huge!
Some things like the pillars you need to fold, but that is easy. It also comes with a foldable clock and TV. I have not yet folded up the staircase.

Alfred would have loved this, too bad I didn't have it during "Gotham" times.

Remember John Raymond Arnold from "Jurassic Park"? No? He's the guy that goes to fix something and then later all they find of him is his arm. Naturally, I had to get him. Mostly for the awesome computer he comes with!

This all started with me buying Jeff Goldblum aka Ian Malcolm from the Amber Line. Then next Dennis Nedry and the Dilophosaurus came out, and I got him too. I'm not even that much of a Jurrassic Park fan, but you know me! Always nice to have stuff to play with!

So I just set up some office scenes. This is Janine Melnitz from Ghostbusters as secretary.

One evening I felt, I need an E.T. figure in my life. Not sure why, but I did. So I went to ebay and found one for a reasonable price.

And then he met the other alien in my collection! First contact!

I had some fun with Kayo and the wolves. I bought them specifically.

"Hey, give that back, that is my hat!"

DSC02983

While Kayo was busy fighting for his hat, another wolf nudged him into the back of his knees.

DSC02990

He was afraid for his life but they only wanted to play!

DSC02995

Kayo has made friends for life now.

DSC02999

They are so cute, they have even little paws!

For my European friends I probably don't need to introduce these, but do my American friends know who Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are? Their true names are Carlo Pedersoli and Mario Girotti and in the Seventies and Eighties they did a bunch of Italian Western Comedies which are cult over here.

Also Terence Hill lived in a village nearby Dresden when he was a child, during the war, and still speaks German very well. He also has an ice cream parlour with his own ice cream here in Dresden.

And now there are figures of them! I could not resist. So I am leaving the Delta Quadrant for the Wild West.

A while ago I saw pictures of Ofelia from "Pan's Labyrinth" but didn't know the movie yet. Finally I have watched it and promptly ordered the figure. I never learn LOL
She comes with the stone, you even can take the eye out! Plus fairies, key and book.

Last year I bought this beach chair and badly miscalculated. It was way too big for the 7" figures (but on the other hand too small for 12"). Well, I'm not one to give up, it's only a matter of finding the right figure for it!

Thus, the Doctor Who werewolf went onto vacation.

They've mown the lawn in front of my house! So I had to go to the neighbour's house driveway at the other side of the fence to find some "jungle".

So, have you flipped your mattress recently? This tweet reminded me of it yesterday: https://twitter.com/1940sJimTurner/status/1288111369401688064

If you love dollhouses, check out this whole Twitter, "Jim" is a shop owner in WWII London, and the stories he tells are all so British and cute!

So, my Scottish couple had to flip their mattress as well. It's not an easy task when you are not as young as you used to be but together they managed.

When they were done, they had a bounce in the newly made bed!

I haven't yet properly introduced the Matrix staircase. Here is a picture what it's supposed to look like when fully assembled:

And you already saw it in my picture here: https://dieastra.livejournal.com/348128.html

I don't mind some pieces missing as I only wanted the stairs anyway. The figures are well done in detail but stuck in their pose. There is limited articulation but what else could you do with them? Although I think I just got an idea...

I managed to get the Matrix staircase rather cheap as parts are broken or missing. Looks like some action is going on there!

I just realized that I never properly introduced this guy, despite already having taken a scene with him.

Also, I have quite a collection of toolboxes now!

This was the picture I did back then, misusing him as a bricklayer:

I saw this Ian Malcolm on a friend's Instagram and couldn't resist. There are many others in different sizes out there, but the small ones look cheap and don't have much articulation. This is the first that I thought looks really good. He's 6" and comes from the new "Amber collection".

I'm not into any other Jurassic Park stuff but a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do! Who can resist Jeff Goldblum? I'm sure we'll have fun together.

I have been eyeing this for years, finally I got the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select Black Cat set for a good price loose.

Mainly for the diorama with the American style window that can be opened. Our windows here are much different, they whole window fully opens sideways, or you can just tilt the top to let in a little air.
I also love the stack of money and all the other things going into the safe.

Every year I am buying one of those funny wooden penguins at the Christmas market. One is surfing, one has a swim ring and a thermometer for the water temperature ;)

This is the snow I have used for the recent pics, it's a powder, then you add water and it grows!
