AFT SG-1: Jack wents diving

I have some more pictures of my 12" Jack for you. I ordered some extra gear, and so I could send Jack diving!

Honestly, you would not have much fun if I went further south. It is shaped like briefs - nothing to look at! (the behind has buttocks, though ;) ) I'd show you a picture, but the XD-card of my photocamera is broken right now :(

Speaking of "putting a grin on my face" - you recently did so as well, which reminds me, I haven't commented yet *rushes over*

Hey, now there's an idea! Surely nobody has done it before ;) But nothing comes to mind right now, the two worlds are just so different. How about you write it and I play it out with puppets afterwards? ;)

Actually, I rather picture RDA than Jack in this diving suit, since we have seen him in one before.

I wrote a Stargate/Simpsons crossover, though, if that is of any help! (and apologies if I already mentioned that, I'm starting to lose thread ;) )

Unfortunately, not yet. I only translated the first half so far, really need to finish that soon, so that you all can read it as well (unless you understand German? ;) )

This was a fun idea, actually. Because I had written it before we heard that Rick was indeed to play himself in there! So I also have Patty and Selma in it, of course. It's a bit like the movie "Pleasantville", if you know it (and if not, you should watch it, it's great!) Jack getting sucked into the TV, you know...

Yes, he certainly has, hasn't he? ;) You don't think the gear is too orange? I bought it cheap, it's actually Barbie stuff. And if you look closely, it even has glitter on it... not very manly ;)

I didn't really notice the glitter - it's pretty subtle in the pictures. But yes, not very manly! Maybe there's some GI Joe or special forces figures that have more "manly" gear?

(And could you maybe please explain in a few words to me, what exactly it is that you are doing over on your LJ? You see me absolutely clueless and without the hint of the faintest idea ;) I mean the Illya-stuff)

Illya Kuryakin is a character in the old 1960s TV show 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'... a kind of a James Bond/spy show spin-off. David McCallum (who currently plays Dr. 'Ducky' Mallard on NCIS and is now in his 70s) characterized the very intriguing Illya, a blond Russian agent who works for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement... a kind of international crime-fighting network. He is moody, reserved, dour-humored, and absolutely deadly with any weapon or hand to hand combat.

He works as a partner and side-kick to Napoleon Solo (co-star Robert Vaughn) the suave, sophisticated ladies man and the number one agent for UNCLE. Though Illya frequently steals the show... and the ladies... with his rare smiles and impish good-looks.

The Man From UNCLE set the bar for most adventure TV shows that were made after it aired. It has weathered the years well, and is still very entertaining.

If you can, catch an episode online (YouTube has bunches of good ones.) I think you'd probably like the action and humor of the show. It doesn't take itself too seriously, especially in the third season.

I watched reruns this show growing up (it originally aired a couple of years before I was born in 1966), and I have rediscovered it recently. The fandom is eating my brain. :-D

Anyway, I've been writing short stories and vignettes for Illya. I plan to write a long fic soon.

LOL Nicht den Taucheranzug, die Tauchausrüstung (Brille, Schnorchel, Flossen, Pressluftflasche). Die sind mir (für Jack) doch etwas zu orange (und haben sogar Glitzereffekt, wenn Du genau hinschaust). Die hab ich billig gekauft, ist Barbie-Zeug (ich hab immer erst den Kommentar und das zugehörige Bild dann darunter, es bezog sich also auf das untere).

Der schwarze Anzug möchte schon schön aussehen, den hab ich unter dem Namen Elite Guard oder so ähnlich gekauft, also eher was für Profis. Ist aber sehr eng, hab ihn kaum hineinbekommen ;)
