Let's take a trip down memory lane! Who else had these? [livejournal.com profile] vjezkova maybe? It's been ages since I took them out. I photographed them for a friend.

Every child in the GDR had these rubber Indians and Cowboys. The boys played with them in the sandbox. I begged my parents for some. What do you want with them, they asked. The first two I got were the chief and the sitting woman. That's not what I had wanted but soon got more. I did not play fights with them, just was admiring the tiny details and accessories and the different poses. This is how my love for miniatures / figures started. They are 8 cm, about 3" high.

[livejournal.com profile] alumfelga Guess what? I really did buy the sheriff! I have way too much money in my account, no conventions, no travelling, no hotels/flights/autographs/photographs to pay for. Money needs to work!

I bought Rick Grimes from "The Walking Dead". ThreeZero doing some good work lately. I don't even watch the show, I'm not into Zombies at all and was surprised it is still going in its 11th season.

I just love a man in an uniform, and a sheriff especially! What can I say. Look at the pictures and you will agree with me.

ThreeZero also did the Mulder and Scully figures from X-files, I guess they will meet this sheriff and he will tell them about strange things happening in his town!

Pictures by Toyark, my place to always find out about new figures!

I've already shown her in the picture with Hugo Strange and the Cyberwoman, but I want to properly introduce Maria from "Metropolis". What I love about the chair is that you can insert the tubes into whichever hole you like, so make the look different each time!

This line by Mezco is called "Silent Screamers".

I had wanted the NECA T-1000 for a long time, now I finally got him. He is awesome! Comes with several different arms for switching and also a complete new torso with head.

Look at the awesome pics behind the cut!

She wears sensible shoes, and has a magnet in her hand to hold the tablet. There are two different plates, one with hamburgers and fries, and one with breakfast - eggs, sausage, toast, and are those pancakes? I’m getting hungry.

I got her for no particular reason a few weeks ago, two weeks ago in the Gotham episode Alfred fell in love with a waitress. And I knew why I had bought her.

Calling all book lovers! Here is your action figure! [livejournal.com profile] hamsterwoman [livejournal.com profile] niviene [livejournal.com profile] spaciireth

Introducing: "The librarian", de-luxe version, made after real life librarian Nancy Pearl from Seattle. I love all the things she comes with - background, book case, computer and also a lot of books. Nice selection!

There is also a blue version which comes just with some books: https://cdn.trendhunterstatic.com/thumbs/nancy-pearl-replica-animated-librarian-toys.jpeg

And the Super-Librarian! https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1365/2497/products/Librarian-Action-Figure_grande.png?v=1510250702

Look at all books in detail! And then tell me which you have read. I must say some I have never heard about.

Oh my God look what I just bought. I have been eyeing this Spiderman alleyway set for a while but it is old and therefore going for 75+ GBP at ebay. Tonight I was browsing for fun and found it for 22 GBP. Because it is used and some minor parts missing but I still think I got a pretty good deal for my Gotham figures! It will fit well with my other balcony and fire escape.

$_12

And then this popped up, which I also saw for 70 GBP with another seller, and I couldn't pass it up at just 15 GBP. Not sure yet what to do with it but I love the bridge and the big building and also the background with the houses. I'm sure I can think of something.

This was an expensive day as I earlier already purchased a plane ticket to Manchester to see John Barrowman in pantomime in January.

Oh, and look at this artsy picture! This is the same Arkham Asylum picture I have, plus the Gotham alleyway, but it looks really artsy in here. Shows what one can do with the right lighting. I have lots to learn yet. The picture is from this page where there are lots more: http://news.toyark.com/2017/11/06/dc-icons-rebirth-batman-photo-review-277366

Especially for [livejournal.com profile] owensheart!

I never watched "Buffy" or "Angel" but I keep buying their figures as they are so much fun! Here we have "Ice Cream Xander". He comes with an ice cream cone, a scoop, a plate of cheese - and a single heart! (which I already used in the Ed in lab scene)
I also got this Muppets popcorn stand. It may come in handy on a fair or maybe the Gotham circus (if we ever get a Jerome figure)

Throwback Thursday: Some figures from my childhood in East Germany. The mechanic and fireman are similar to Playmobil, having hands that can grab accessories.

The others are just made from gum. A ship captain & a police man at the left, at the right a taylor (from the fairytale?) & a robber and the two guys in the middle are Moritz and Max from the Wilhelm Busch Max & Moritz comics. No idea if they are known outside of Germany: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_and_Moritz

With all those figures, I have no idea who the maker is, where are they from or if there are more, but I have known them all my childhood. I actually also had several of these mice, everyone called them Mickeymouse but at the time I had no idea why! That picture is from the net, not mine. No idea where mine are. I had white, yellow, brown and green.

I thought today would be a good day to introduce the Re-ment Pose skeleton. This guy is very small, about 3,5" but has a lot of joints. He is actually the so called "big" guy, there is an even smaller one and also a child, and there are dinosaur skeletons and a dog and cow and lots of tiny accessories. A desk and laptop and tie for example, medical gear, table and chair, music instruments, whatever a figure needs! Whole japanese rooms also. The japanese swords I recently got for Malcolm also were from this line. But most would be too small to use for bigger figures. Still, I thought he might be fun to have around!

I want to introduce the rest of the wave 4 Arrow figures. Malcolm Merlyn already got a post of his own here and here is now the rest. Arrow season 3, Laurel as Black Canary and Reverse Flash. Next wave will have Arrow in season 4 costume (they keep giving him a new costume every season and we keep buying new figures ;) ) and Flash from season 2 with the white symbol on his chest.

I am afraid that I won't buy anything from the announced wave after that. Have a look here if you are interested: http://www.tvinsider.com/article/92927/dc-collectibles-action-figures-supergirl-firestorm-hawkgirl-constantine-zoom/
Not one "normal" person. No Dr. Wells, no Cisco, no Caitlin, I wouldn't say no to Joe or Iris either. But instead we get all those superheroes in their costumes, from all the CW shows: Firestorm, Hawkgirl, The Atom, Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, Vixen, Constantine. I guess I ought to get Zoom at least, but I really am not much into villains. I usually don't do fight pictures and I can't use any weird aliens for the funny comics I do. Ah well. Maybe next time.

On now with the introduction of those I did buy. See all pictures and details behind the cut!

Kirk has finally beamed in. I am bringing you lots of pictures of all the great accessories he comes with, and I also have tried different poses and angles with the different hands. As expected, he is simply amazing. Everyone is saying that but it is still true. I also yet have to unwrap Spock. So much awesomeness! See it all behind the cut!

Look [personal profile] annejack!

It's San Diego Comic Con weekend and Quantum Mechanix have published pictures of their upcoming lines. I am posting just the TOS stuff, there is also Next Generation, Supernatural, Firefly and Justified.
And I'll get my Captain's Chair! Yay! For those that are wondering, Uhura and Chekov are in the making as well. The whole team.

They even got details like Bones' pinkie ring (it belonged to DeForest Kelley's mother and he never took it off) and Scotty's missing finger (James Doohan lost it in the Normandie) right:
