Artsy phone boxes in London, Covent Garden June 2012

When we were in London in June 2012 for the John Barrowman concert in Hampton Court (of which I have yet to write a report) we also paid a short visit to Covent Garden. Actually, we were on our way to see the musical "Sweeney Todd" with Michael Ball (what, I never posted my picture with him either? Need to change that!)

Anyway, we came across these artsy phone boxes and I urged my friend to photograph them all.

























This one actually was not in Covent Garden but at the Tower. Wonder where else in London these were present?

Ja, die mit den bunten Scheiben ist auch mein Favorit, aber auch das wörtlich genommene "cellphone" fand ich klasse! Da muss man erst mal drauf kommen.

I've no idea whether they are always around, I guess not. Just some art project? And we were at the right time at the right place. I just wonder how many we might have missed at other places!

Und die letzte am Tower finde ich ja mal cool, die "zerschnittene"! Da muss ich leider unbemerkt vorbeigelaufen sein, schade...

These are awesome, and you did a great job with the photos. They're all so different, it's hard to choose a favorite. Maybe the one made out of colored glass. I bet that looks great at night.

Yeah, I also like the one with the colored glass the best, and also the white one which is cut into pieces. But the literally taken "cell-phone" is funny also!

(I did not have my camera with me at the time, as we were coming from the musical, so my friend took them with her mobile)
