I'll never forget that famous German MacGyver sentence - even after repeated listening I still have no idea what he is saying LOL And he started so well but then it all crumbled.
Not sure where you are at the moment with "Stargate"? I think it was in second season when Daniel had to use his German ;) The fun thing is, Michael Shanks once told us at a convention, that he was taught the pronouncation by a Hungarian guy so now he is speaking the German sentence with Hungarian accent ;) Although to me it sounds rather French actually.
That is always good when they have native speakers. They had that in "Christopher and his kind" as well, which was set in Berlin. A movie about Christopher Isherwood and how he wrote the musical "Cabaret". I watched it because of British actor Matt Smith and he also had to say some German sentences, but he actually did rather nicely. Same goes for David Tennant, who did this in a few movies now.
I still need to get the James Bond movie with Pierce Brosnan which was filmed in Hamburg and apparently at the airport he ordered a car in German.
I hear there is a new series called "Sense8" which was filmed all over the world with actors from all those countries, I want to watch that one day. I've never heard of "Man in the High Castle" but that sounds interesting as well.
Do I need to know Patrick Wilson? Looking him up... nope, nothing sounds familiar. But it reminds me that I need to finish "Space Station 76" one day. That one was a bit weird, wasn't it? Matt was great as usual, but overall I didn't quite grasp it. One group at IMDB says it was hilarious and funny, the other group says it was boring. I'm with the other group. If anything, I feel rather sad for Matt's character. Then again, I saw him training and sweating and playing the guitar (so far) so who's complaining? And he was also a very cute dad with his daughter.

Two days ago "Deutschland 83" started finally over here, which is actually a German series, but already was shown in American TV in August, which is pretty weird and actually the first time that something sells well ;) With subtitles. It's about East and West and the nuclear arms race and spies in the year 1983. Some clichés but overall I liked it.
