Customizing: Star Trek transportation box

Today in the morning I was lying in bed, thinking about things as you do, when I had an epiphany. So this was my afternoon - from pencil sharpener to transporting box or whatever the official term is - does anyone know? It needs paint yet and I need to figure out a way how to attach the strap.

























In the episode "Natural Law" Chakotay has an injured leg and someone makes him a walking stick. I was thinking about how to make this, when I remembered I already have the perfect thing. I don't remember where it is from, is it from a Doctor Who figure? It's in the Doctor Who box. Either that or a Spike I once bought.
