I finally found a knight figure that is big enough. One of the early humorous and adorable scenes back in episode 1x03. Alfred play-fighting with Bruce, accidentally hitting the knight and apologizing to him. So British! Sean says the sentence was going to end with "...frightfully sorry."

I also sprung for a group picture this time. And I was determined to get a nice one.
There was a yellow line in front of them, where you were supposed to stand if you were a group (you could have up till 4 people in the picture). How boring.

From the single pictures Sean already knew I was coming, so I marched straight at him and he and Drew opened up a space for me. Look how Sean brings his head down to meet me, awww!

Let me tell ya, a dress is much better suited for hot convention days! I had intended to only wear it for the photo session but ended up walking around like that all Sunday long, and did not sweat once. I may have to rethink the jeans/fanshirt combo!
I asked for a prom picture, I already did that last year with John Barrowman. So, who did it better?

1: Sean
2: John
3: I'm envious of both

And then I asked for a dancing pose!

My first two pictures with Sean from the last weekend. With the first, when seeing me (and recognizing me) he opened his arms for a big hug. Awww! Look how tanned he is and how white I am LOL

Someone did this heart at Wales Comic Con and tweeted it and I thought it was a neat idea so I copied it:

Tonight "Gotham" finally returns to TV and I made a scene from episode 4x09 "Let them eat pie" that aired some months ago. Bruce had run off to have a big party and getting drunk with his friends and had left Alfred in the middle of the woods so he had to walk all the way home. When he arrived, he smashed the record player so the record broke into several pieces. I loved that scene so much I even asked Sean on Twitter about how many times he got to smash it and he replied "5 times!"

I made the broken records from FIMO, I will do an extra post about that.

While I was busy shopping groceries my picture got a like and even a comment by Sean! Yay!

I then thought long and hard what to reply until the obvious came to me.

And then the reply got a retweet even! So today's day definitely has been made.

Of course I HAD to do it ;)

Close enough! That's my scratchbuilt K.I.T.T. car Alfred is leaning on. And I even put in Camren Bicondova who took the original picture.

Here is the original link at Sean Pertwee's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/BfMFZ6tHD6D/

And here you can see more of my K.I.T.T. model of which I am still very proud: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/18142.html

"Gotham" fans are wondering if Alfred is homeless now that Bruce has fired him. I wonder if he does not have any money that he needs to live in such a crappy part of the city. Or maybe he just does not care anymore. I want to note though that his shoes are way too shiny for living on the street ;)

Watch this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBHj1biBsp8&t=0m11s

It's actually an interview with Ben McKenzie but shows us a new scene from when "Gotham" will return in March. And it makes me want to hug Alfred. Poor guy! That body language and face says it all. Very well acted, Sean!

So I got inspired big time and made this picture. I knew buying that Spiderman playset some weeks ago with the bridge would come in handy some day!

I made a surfing Sean! I called it "The last wave". A little memory of "Blue Juice". The figure is actually a Spike figure (from Buffy), I just put Alfred's head onto it.

So while John Barrowman was looking at shiny cars in the Stuttgart Mercedes museum over the weekend and wrote "I want" to each of his pictures, Sean Pertwee actually got himself a new shiny car. He posted with the words "New Whip 'n Sh*t Rims & Tings . #papagotabrandnewcar "
Boys and their toys ;)

After my ordinary hug with Sean I got more bold and asked if he could flex his biceps for me. I even mirrored the pose to underline what I meant. Before I could finish my sentence he fell into it as if he never had done anything else in his life. I then asked if I could touch as well (I have done this pose with others at other cons before and it has become a trademark of mine. Look at John Barrowman and Vic Mignogna doing the same pose for me for comparison!

I love his face in it! So cute!
When I came with this picture to the autograph table, Sean looked at it and kept saying "I love this. I love this." He was totally gobsmacked. He probably still would stand there if I hadn't pushed on for more conversation. Guess not many have asked for unusual poses before! But I got out my customized Alfred action figure and then he really lit up. "Oh, it's you!" He had retweeted some of my pictures in the week before the con.

I showed the one where I recreated the scene with Alfred cooking breakfast for Jim and when he opened two eggs with both hands. I said that I loved that and that I had heard he could cook. And he said that yeah he had started in McDonalds and ended up as a sous chef. I also mentioned the cooking scene in "Leon the pig farmer" but I'm not sure if he heard me.

This is what I had most looked forward to. I warned Sean on Saturday at the autograph table that the next day I would bring an apron and if that was okay. He had no objections. When I came into the room, I already wore my apron and held his out to him. His eyes literally lit up: "Oh, is that for me?" Like a little boy at Christmas LOL He put it over his head but then fumbled a bit with the strings at the back so I went and tied the bow, as they were very thin.
I then tried to tell him which pose I wanted but he was way ahead of me and already standing like this. Sadly somehow while fumbling at his backside I must have bent down and without realizing my own apron rode up a bit so looks a bit funny at the top.

After the picture he tried to take it off but chose the wrong end and then it was stuck and knotted. So I got to fumble around his backside a bit more, embarrassed. I did not really enjoy it ;) Finally I had it off. I know some of you are a bit jealous now *teasing*

At the autograph table I asked if he could write anything in German, if he spoke German but he said no. So he came up with the "A cup of tea, miss?" and I love it as I totally can hear it in his Alfred voice! You too?

Three weeks already since I was in London at Heroes and Villains Fan Fest. But with everything happening in the UK lately I did not feel like fannish posts. I want to show my pictures to you though, so here are the first two with Sean Pertwee and David Mazouz! Many more to come. I want to say that this convention was well organized, everything ran smoothly, even the bag checks because of hightened security. I never felt unsafe.

When I came into the room, Sean was just wiping his forehead with a handkerchief. It was very hot that Saturday morning, you can see it on my face. Later they must have found the air condition and it felt cooler. They also greeted everyone by handshake and asked how they were, that was nice! The photosession went smoothly but did not feel rushed.
I asked for the boxing pose and went into position and then kept hearing David saying beside me: "Sean, did you see the shirt, did you see the shirt!" He was really excited about it. And Sean said that yeah, he had seen it. "The Good, The Bad, The Butler!"
At the signing table I asked David how it felt having your own action figure. He said that it was awesome! I then showed him some of the action figure pictures that have Bruce in it and he loved them.

01 Gotham

Sean Pertwee the second. After the double photo with David Mazouz had ended, we went back into the same room for solo pictures. (After Sean we also met Drew and Robin in this same room. I guess the photographer and the guy who collected the photo tickets knew me well by the end LOL)
I started simple and asked if I could get a hug. Wanted to slowly work my way up to more crazier poses.
My friend was before me and she had the same shirt like I, only in blue. When he saw her he exclaimed "I love that shirt" and she got the pose with him pointing at his image on it.

I want a butler like Alfred. Not only does he cook and clean after you, he also protects you with his serious fighting skills! I mean, look at this: Fight Clip 1

Or this: Fight Clip 2

Or this, my very favorite and also the first one I saw. It combines serious drama with a little humor, when Alfred uses this street fight to teach Bruce a lesson: Fight Clip 3

I seem to have fallen suddenly and hard into fangirling now. Oh boy. I mean you know it has hit you hard when you start checking out youtube clips at 2 AM. Friendslist, you have failed this fangirl! Why has nobody ever told me about the awesomeness of Sean Pertwee? How have I managed to avoid him completely so far? Two seperate eclipses around the sun, it seems.

I wonder how he has managed to escape "Doctor Who" so far. I thought it is every British actor's duty to appear there. I sure would know him then. But with him living in New York now it does not seem likely in the nearby future.

I have seen him briefly at the beginning of "The Five(ish) Doctors" together with Olivia Coleman, but he was just "The son of Jon Pertwee" for me then. Too short to do a proper impression. Although it's funny how things come full circle as he is talking about "a thing in the states I can't talk about" which surely is meant to be "Gotham".

I also remember now seeing him in "Equlibrium" a few months ago but it was only a cameo and he was only speaking from screens, and it was dubbed in German so I didn't hear his lovely voice (which you can hear in the third clip I linked above). But I do remember indeed being impressed with his presence even from those short scenes. I should have checked him out then already.

What is also funny, in "Gotham" in German TV he is dubbed by the same guy that did Jack O'Neill from "Stargate SG-1", another silver fox I adored. There certainly is something about guys above 50! *Swoon*
So there was already a familiarity about him. But I love the original voice, so deep and raspy. I wonder if he helps writing his dialogues, to get all the "Blimey" and "Oh dear" in? ;)

He is one of those actors that I always seem to fall for: Those that can convey so much with just a glance, with a look, without saying anything. Here is one example from him being intense and captivating in the British short series "Bodyguards" from 1996, seven episodes I look forward to watch completely:

See what I mean? As Alfred, he is also pushing all my buttons with trying to keep a straight and professional face, trying to act hard and detached, but failing every so often and the emotions come through. The scenes with him and Bruce are one of the best things of this series. They have great chemistry. Alfred is suddenly finding himself having to raise a child, so it is a struggle for him trying to find the right way.

Also I found this when looking yesterday. No idea where this is from but I'll sure find out LOL!

[personal profile] kanarek13 is this the sock Matt keeps talking about? LMAO Also, Sean seems to channel Matt in that he dies in many of his roles. At least Alfred is safe as long as there is no Batman yet.

Anyway, not sure what this post wants to say other than to ask if there are Sean fangirls on my friends list and to tell you, I am with you now. And those that started to watch "Gotham" and then stopped, maybe you want to try again. And if you only skip to all the Alfred & Bruce scenes. They're worth it. Trust me. In any case, I am blown away and now have to add another guy to the list of guys I am already juggling. Sean, Vic, Tom, Karl, Bill, Matt, David, John...
