It was frustration ;) Although in the meantime it has turned out that both of his elbows do indeed move up and down and also sideways, so I can bend it inwards and he can hold the bow a bit better. Still not aiming straight ahead though but the reason is he can't pull his elbow far behind his ear of course.
Actually it was not the knees but the coat why he cannot lift his leg. The coat's in the way.
But in the meantime I have found out that indeed both elbows can move up and down as well as sideways, so he isn't as stiff as before (still cannot shoot his bow straight though).
I also switched with a friend, her figure was much more loose, and now he can indeed kneel properly (he has two knee joints on each side, and so far I had only been able to move one)
Ah..I didn't realise that. It's great that you now have a figure that's more flexible for you. Have fun with him and be sure to share your creations. :)

But the Dark Archer can't even sit, as his legs don't move up that high because of the coat.
