This was the Mega Bloks Bridge set: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/210712.html

And now I also finished the transporter room. It was a bit easier and therefore quicker to build. I love it as well. Click the cut for more pictures!

We have Kirk and Spock in their Mirror Mirror uniforms, and Scotty is just beaming in:

They also have cute little daggers and the phasers look slightly diffeerent (the top is not painted shiny):

Starting to assemble it:

This is what it looks like from the bottom:

Finished! This set is the Mirror Mirror version but there are two extra wall panels if you want to change it into the normal transporter room. Also the wall panels let light through if you put a light source behind it - and as I found out tonight, they are also glow-in-the-dark. Very cool!

As with the other set, you can unhinge it and put it flat as a display. The computer console in the front can be turned accordingly. Quite cool!

I would love to continue building but now I have to wait till Fall for two more sets: The Guardian from "City on the Edge of Forever" which comes with McCoy and two red-shirts and Kirk in yellow shirt, and a scene from "Day of the Dove" where Scotty and Chekov word-fight against two Klingons. There is a tiny computer console added as well. I may have to get two of these sets for a bigger display.

There will be also ships, the Klingon ship is out already, and the complete Enterprise will also come in Fall, but it will be way too huge for my tiny flat so I'll have to pass on that. If anyone gets it and doesn't want the figures (Spock and Kirk in dress uniforms) let me know! But maybe they'll become available for purchase on their own later. Also I would hope for a sickbay set, now that would be cool. Or how about the Captain's cabin? Or the recreation room? Or...

You must have enjoyed yourself!
The result is, like the bridge, almost a perfect replica of the transporter room! And that beeming effect on Scotty´s figure is pretty accurate.
Wow, you can have the whole reconstruction of the Enterprise most famous sites soon!

It's been a long while since I built anything with such stones and I enjoyed it very much! I hope they'll continue making them, then I'll continue buying them ;) It's like a dollhouse of the Enterprise LOL

Since I still want to build more, I have gone back to the cars from my childhood. Did you have them also, do you remember this? It is called PEBE: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/petersell/miniauto/master/assets/images/miniauto.jpg

I had a lot of them and my brother also and they are lying in pieces in a big box. I'll make a post with them when I am finished.

Well, I do remember the cars but I prefered collecting plaster animals.:-) I still have a wonderful safari in a box though some figures are damaged, it was easy with plaster. Now they have whatever you wish made of plastic but the old ones are somehow better (nostalgia probablyLOL).

Oh yeah, I also had a whole zoo of them! And I did also like to play with little wooden houses, to set up a village with little people and trees. Basically what I am still doing now ;)

You can see some of those houses in the "Cardiff" picture in this entry, but other buildings are real Cardiff buildings, I bought that when I was there: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/39004.html

I love it! Now I have to wait till Fall to continue - arrrgh!
In the meantime, I am rebuilding little cars from my Eastern German childhood, heh! I had forgotten how much I had loved playing with those stones. No wonder I ended up in the building business.

I love how they included a little phasing figure made of clearish plastic!

Yes, that is an awesome idea! And also one of the daggers is made from clear plastic, to go with this figure no doubt. At first I was worried they had forgotten to include them as I couldn't find them, but then I looked again and there they were.

Is it Fall yet? I want to continue! LOL I've resorted now to re-building cars from my Eastern German childhood. There may be a Throwback Thursday post.

I love it the set too! Too bad I have now to wait till Fall to get the rest of the sets. Hopefully I'll remember by then.

The episode was indeed a great one. I always love seeing different versions of our characters. It also gives the actors a fun way to play them differently.

Since you love the Mirror Mirror episode so much I have a question for you. I know I am blabbing a lot about this recently but still it doesn't hurt to ask in case you somehow magically managed to miss it, right? And if we've talked about it it before, please forgive me, I talk to a lot of people ;)

Have you watched "Star Trek Continues" yet? Particularly the episode that shows us what happened next in the Mirror universe, after our guys have left? Many agree that this is their best episode. If you don't know it, go here: http://www.startrekcontinues.com/episodes.html

Episode number 3, "Fairest of them all" is what I am talking about. Highly recommended, and when you have fallen in love, then watch the rest as well, it's definitely worth it! You can also turn on CC, I know that is important for you?

No, I haven't seen it but I keep meaning to! I feel like there aren't enough hours in the day. And thanks for the head's up on the CC!

You mean, you haven't seen this episode or anything of STC yet? Well, either way, hurry up, you never know how long they will still be out there...

It's really well worth it. You can trust me. I have a friend who is a long time Kirk and Shatner fan and outright refused to watch any other man in that role. She fell in love immediately and bought as many pictures with Vic at Fedcon as I did ;) Every single one of them working on that does it out of great love for the fandom. I ♥ them all.

This is so cool. I love all the details, like the console and the star map. Thanks for including the pic of their weapons. The daggers are adorable. And I like the beaming in Scotty. I've never seen that before.

You have the very best collection!

I also really really love these sets! You know, I was going to lay low for a while, my bank account looks very red after the recent convention (the picture and autograph of William Shatner does not come cheap) but how could you resist something like that? And I am glad I snatched it when I did, as the price for the bridge has gone up now, and only very few left.

The daggers are so small, I have to be careful not to lose them!

I actually have a translucent Tenth Doctor figure as well! I need to dig out the pictures I did with him and Rose on the beach. They were not very good so I never posted them. Maybe I should re-do them.

Or heh, maybe the Doctor can beam in! LOOOOOOOOOL I may need to photoshop it as he is too big but that would be fun.
