So, to get me started, here are the first proper pictures I took with my Gotham figures. I need to get the hang of the characters yet, so I only re-created some scenes from the pilot for now.

Selina feeding some street cats:

Jim Gordon defending himself in a fight with the help of some trash can lids. The lids of the ones in the display cannot be taken off, he uses one I bought from Wresting figures here:

Jim being supposed to shoot the Penguin at the docks - will he or will he not?

Defending himself with trash can lid cracks me up.

Where do you keep everything?? I got so cluttered, I can't get back to my minis.

He was following a guy who ran away, and in their struggle Gordon lost his gun. So he just grabbed whatever was nearby in the man-to-man battle. I just did not have another guy for him to fight ;)

I take all my figures out of their boxes which have a lot of empty air and would take up more space. I put them into tin boxes that used to hold cookies. I get them for free at work ;) The black boxes in the top shelf are all Star Trek figures, the green in the bottom shelf are Stargate and also some accessories. I have a system to put it all in there using maximal space, a bit like playing Tetris!

And in the shelf under that I have a huge former shoe box with all the Doctor Who figures (I once ordered a lot of figures from a seller and they arrived like this, I filled it up more now) and as you can see, the Gotham box is very new. Both the Doctor Who logos and Gotham logo I cut out and glued on.

When I put that shelf (not the one in the pictures above, I mean this one: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/145401.html) into my kitchen most of my dollhouse and crafty items went in there and I freed up some space in my sleeping room. But yeah, I should not continue buying like this forever, I'll soon run out of space too. But what can you do when you fall in love with new shiny things!

I no longer watch Gotham but I love Selina and the cat picture...just love it - the lighting night/foggy and the alley look very real. Well done you!

Thank you! Although I did not much LOL In Summer, I was taking such great pictures, but now when it is outside grey and dark and no daylight, I really struggle. But it is the perfect weather for Gotham pictures! I guess I can take them only in winter time.

The bottom part of the alley comes with Gordon, and the top part with Selina. I saw a picture of this online and wanted the background, and this is how I started to watch Gotham in the first place! Here I introduced the figures of wave 1 and their props: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/243362.html

Wait till I set up a proper Wayne mansion. I always love a mansion. Too bad the one in Arrow is long gone.

I am still catching up with the first Gotham season, and yes, it is a bit crazy and over the top, but still great fun to watch. May get crazier in seasons 2 and 3 of which I also had a peek already. I do it all a bit out of order ;)

When have you stopped watching Gotham? I just made it to the end of season 1 / beginning of season 2 where Alfred and Bruce find the cave under the mansion. Such powerful and raw emotions stuff.

I have now fallen completely unexpectedly for Sean Pertwee. Totally came out of left field, that one. I actually was more looking at Jim Gordon in the beginning ;) But Sean has blown me away now and I started to check out other work of him on youtube. Wow. What a voice. What a presence!

I have Bruce now and cannot wait to do all kind of scenes with these two. I also plan to customize myself another Alfred figure, just in shirt sleeves. But next week I'll be away, pantotime with John Barrowman!

I stopped after about 3-4 episodes. It was so depressing mostly about Fish Mooney (sp?) and the Penguin and Gordon wasn't getting any help in taking down the bad guys and they tried to make him kill someone if I remember correctly. I kept thinking why is EVERYONE except the kids bad? Where is the good guys helping J Gordon? It's like saying in a city the size of NYC there is only one cop fighting crime. There has to be some good guys somewhere there can't be only bad guys all the time. I just found it too dark and I was already watching a few dark shows which cumulatively were making my sleep and dreams restless so I just stopped watching some of them. Gotham was one of them to get cut. The only characters I liked were the Bruce and Selena and they were barely on the show. I remember the old campy comedy Batman and Robin from the 70s and prefer the lighter approach as I just can't take superheroes seriously - I'm not 10yrs old. Even in the campy version sometimes the good guys won sometimes they lost.

Besides I despise shows that show only one side of good or evil when there has to be a balance - sorry but I don't think in the kind of town Gotham is, that J Gordon would have to go it alone there wouldn't be anyone helping him (Batman aka Bruce is still a kid so he can't help yet). I'd rather the show had just been about Bruce and Selena and Alfred with some bad guys thrown in not the other way around and from J Gordon's POV.

If it's a show you like then go ahead and watch but it's just not for me! Although I would have liked to have scene the discovery of the bat cave :) I bet that part was cool!

He is getting help now. These are the awesome scenes. Montaya and Allen are on his side now once they realized Jim has not killed Penguin, and they saved him when he was shot one time. Also the captain, there was a scene where Jim stood up against all police men on his own first, and then she backed him up. I like her very much, she does what she can.

Also, since I started to watch first in season 2, I already knew that the relationship of Bullock and Gordon will develop into a true friendship, and it is amazing to see how Harvey becomes a better man. Also there is the state's attorney Harvey Dent (who later will become Two-Face but at the moment is a good guy also helping Jim).

I totally get what you mean, I am usually not into dark stuff either. I did not watch "Hannibal" or "Dexter" or anything like that for the very same reason. The visuals of "Gotham" fascinate me though. Wayne Manor is awesome, and also the police station, with all its steel beams. Nice old vintage look, yet they have computers and cell phones, but still it looks dated.

And Bullock is always good for a funny line, I appreciate some humor with my darkness. But Bruce and Alfred are definitely my favorites now. Alfred is just cool. You haven't seen him fight probably. He's awesome, a former soldier, and he protects Bruce. Their story also develops. He is the one training Bruce into Batman, and I will look forward to all those training scenes. I saw a clip on Tumblr where Alfred seems to do a spin - probably teaching him dancing as well LOL

If you don't want to watch full episodes, maybe you can search for some clips on youtube? The finding the cave clip is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWMo-jIj5us

That was the finale of season 1. And at the right side I see now clips for ep. 2x01 and 2x02 showing how this story develops:

A True Calling : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqqeg1vEcnA

You're fired: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LPutMUVLYQ

Fix it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AeFlp-QfPM

So watch at least these, they are really great scenes. This is what sucks me in. I'm sure there's more you can find if you look for it.

Good to know Gordon has help now.

I hate serial killer shows like Dexter/Hannibal...never watch them so with you there!

Fantastic clips - thanks for the links.

I was so shocked/angry that Alfred destroyed the computers at least he should have had a look at what was on them first and to break a trust like that with Bruce...no words. Poor kid. But they made up which was great to see. So did Alfred actually fix the computer and if so what info did they find on it? See the scenes with Bruce (Alfred & Selena too) were the better scenes for me and I as I think I mentioned, would have been more interested in the series if it had been about Bruce and how he becomes batman and not about the Gordon and the villains of Gotham. Even when I watched the few episodes I did the kids and Alfred were more interesting imo.

Glad you liked the clips! Really some great acting there, and it's getting only better. In the last episode of season 3 that aired last week, we saw the first shapes of Bruce becoming Batman with him swearing that he never will kill. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReDPDTdEmgQ

I really love the bond between him and Alfred.

I think Alfred destroyed it out of desperation. He wanted to stop Bruce and couldn't think of any other way at the moment. Clearly the kid was not listening to him.

Alfred must be surprised and hurt as well, finding out this secret about Thomas Wayne, who was not only his employer but also his friend. To find out such a deep secret makes you not think straight I guess.

Wow, if I am not careful I may start to write some fanfiction soon!

The episode continues like this:

Mr. Fox: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skx08AXIdcA

Aftermath: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7KG7g3_eoY

I haven't watched much further yet, but last I heard was that the computer has been fixed.

And, bonus, a scene from the middle of season 2 which I really love: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CFFMRTcli0

There's so much more I'd love to show you!

When do kids ever listen to their elders? But I can see how Alfred must have felt...almost betrayed that his friend Thomas didn't confide in him with such a huge secret.

I love how you get so excited by the show (it comes acrossin your posts and replies).

Yay the computer was fixed. I will check out the links - feel free to send any links you feel are good and I would like and hopefully I will get a chance to check them out (sometimes there isn't enough hours in a day to watch everything I'd like). Thanks again!
