So I read this (funny) conspiracy theory on Twitter that the snow was sent to finally make the people stay at home. They even closed schools, which took them long enough to do in November and in some areas they have been open again.

Apparently Germany is cut into half - one half gets rain while the other half gets heavy snow.

Look at this amazing picture, this garden is right at the border with snow in only one half!

Dresden in the snow half. I measured 24 centimeters on my balcony today! It's awesome.

I really love it, the past weekends it always had been snowing (even if it was thawing again in between).

But yeah, I went to the tram station this morning and after a while realized that I did not see any trams - in either direction. Only lots of people either standing around waiting, or giving up and walking. So I walked straight back home and phoned my work that I was not coming in today. We'll see how it is tomorrow. You could not even see the rails of the tram on the street anymore.

I went for a nice walk in the snow instead, and did some housework which also was necessary. And I finally opened the boxes of my "Back to the Future" figures and played a bit with them. A day well spent.

Since I did not have any proper holiday last year, I had so many vacation days left that starting in September I took a free Friday here and there to use them up till Christmas, and I really liked that longer weekend.
