Surely you all have seen the little Sherlock Mini episode that aired before the third season came to the TV? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwntNANJCOE
And with that little movie and subsequent episodes, Anderson suddenly became the darling of the fandom. He said at the convention that he yet has get used to this, as before everyone hated him.
Here is my picture with him. After the first one was taken I noticed that I had blinked and asked the photographer and he checked and said: "You did indeed" and took another one. And Jonathan added: "Good for you!", meaning that I could stand there longer with him ;)
I also asked him at the autograph session whether he minded my hug, as pretty much everyone else just stood there with their hands at their sides. Guess I am too much used to pictures with John Barrowman... but Jon said it was fine.

Date: 2014-02-20 11:48 pm (UTC)And I (now) always have a few random questions I keep in reserve at cons for situations where there might be no one at the microphone. I hate that for the guests and the fans.
One for Stargate peeps: if you could zat anyone, who would it be and why?
In general: if you were a Muppet, which one would you be and why?
More: If you could play any role? Dream job other than acting? Favorite guest star? Do you have a favorite film/book/play?
Etc. I've used them a few times.
Of course, if the guest is Christopher Judge, the questions are totally different! *grin*

Date: 2014-03-06 03:52 pm (UTC)I like him better with the beard. He's so much more interesting that way. I read somewhere that he had the beard in the initial, unaired pilot, but test audiences just assumed he was the villain because apparently beard=villain in many people's minds. So he shaved it when they made the "real" pilot.
I guess now that Anderson is really letting his freak, fanboy, and conspiracy-theorist flag fly, a beard is acceptable! LOL.

Date: 2014-03-07 10:07 pm (UTC)I really did like him, he seems like a nice guy. And I agree, the beard suits him. One question was about his action figure and he said it should come with a removable beard LOL
And yes, the story you wrote is also one he told in the panel. I don't understand those people though. It's a bit shallow to expect someone is the bad guy just because of the beard.
