Here was part 1/2: Big Anniversary picnic! Part 1/2
And this is part 2/2. All pics behind the cut.
The aftermath:
Daniel and Uhura talk about how to contact new worlds over a cocktail.
Teal'c and Spock, the two aliens, are on first name basis now. In Germany you have to entangle your arms and take a drink to do that.
McCoy, Scotty and Sulu play cards.
Kirk flirts with Sam.
Jack is not happy about this and takes to the Saurian Brandy.
Then he gets out the guitar to win Sam back - and it seems to work.
And so we leave them to their privacy - wait, what are Uhura and Scotty doing there?!?

Date: 2015-09-23 07:43 am (UTC)Do you know about the entangling arms thing in America or is this a typical German thing to do? Probably, as it marks the difference between how to address someone. “Sie” is very formal, while “du” is informal and personal. In English, there is only one “you”. So, in Germany someone (usually the older) has to allow / offer someone else to call him by first name and “du”. And then they entangle their arms and take a sip of a drink this way. It’s called “drinking brothership”.
I love these cards as well! This is actually the first time I used them, despite having them for a long time already. Sometimes I just buy things I like, for no special reason. I could not NOT buy them right? There is even a little game rules explaining book with them.
I may have a third part with all of them doing the polonaise – which we actually shot first, but then, shooting is usually done out of order, right? ;)
Great to hear from you, hope you are well!
(Make sure to also check out the other new Star Trek adventure ;) )
