New figures on the horizon

That was SO to be expected! I have Arrow in season 1 costume with paint at the eyes and season 1 bow, I have Arrow in season 2 costume - basically the same, only with eye mask and different bow, soon I'll get Arrow in season 3 costume which is a bit different and now the one from season 4 got announced. Plus Barry without hood. Yay!

So that means I'll have to wait till November to being able to faithfully re-create a certain scene involving Malcolm. (And I may have to start to number my Arrows to not confuse them LOL)

I already have Barry with mask, but without is so much better! I'll also soon will get Malcolm (John Barrowman) without mask. Now that I think about it, I definitely need Oliver/Arrow without mask as well! I do have him with completely naked chest, which is also very delightful LOL

At least now day release figures twice a year and I only have to wait half a year. The first time, I had to wait a whole year between the announcement and me able to buy them. Torture!

What's your feelings on Pop! figures? I may be about to indulge a long time dream, with you and another as inspiration, and was wondering if anyone else was on board, or interested in being a witness to it.

I really love the Arrow figures. They have nice details on their costumes and also lots of joints for poses - as opposite to the Doctor Who and Torchwood figures, which are a bit stiff.

I am not very fond of the huge heads. They are cute in a way (and much smaller than I always pictured them) but even though we got Jack Harkness now I refuse to buy him. I just prefer realistic faces. I know someone though who customizes them into other JB outfits and some of them are really well done.

But don't listen to me, if you like them, go for it! I am looking forward to whatever you come up with, and if I can help with experience then I happily do so.

Great pic! I love seeing that man smile. He's like sunshine, kittens, and mashed potatoes in human form.

The big heads put me off, too, at first. But I guess they grew on me. And most of all, they have a lot of female characters that are hard to find otherwise. At least for affordable prices, lol.

John has been collecting action figures since ever he was a kid. He is over the moon now with each new figure of himself that comes out ;) That certainly is something special.

Oh, thank you for pointing out that comm! It's adorable! I don't know much about SPN, I have probably seen two or three episodes (the one with the time loop, the one with the convention, and the one when suddenly all was real and in the end Misha Collins got killed) but I always like to see the work of others. I definitely will check it out more.

There are also two different kinds of Star Trek figures. I have the bigger more realistic ones, but there are also smaller, which look more like toys, but they have so many more characters and variants which I sadly don't have. Plus a bridge playset. So I definitely get your reasoning.

You are absolutely right! Thank you for pointing out this detail. I must have been too distracted by Oliver's naked arms ;) One really gets the impression though that they keep changing the costumes so they can sell more figures LOL As a collector of course needs every variant.

I still am hoping for a "normal" Wells. And Cisco. I need a Cisco. I wonder if these are all or if more will be announced.

You and me both! I’ll make sure to let you know first if I ever hear anything. I hope we’ll get him eventually – we even got a Felicity and she is no superhero at all – but it may take a while. I had to wait a whole year after the announcement of the Dark Archer till he was available. Hard times.
I wonder a bit why they have come back to the two packs. The first available figure was Arrow and Deathstroke which admittedly I wouldn’t have bought if he hadn’t come in a two-pack with Arrow. But all the other figures released after that had their own box. Now if you want this Flash, you have to buy the Arrow as well, and vice versa. Do we need to worry about it? Sales not good? Which could mean less figures?
