Another old link I found - this one is especially for alumfelga and everyone who enjoys the really funny half hour special Peter Davison made with lots of celebrities - from Doctor Who and elsewhere - for the 50th anniversary. If you don't know it, you can watch it here:

It has lots of cameos and funny bits. Even the families of the actors got involved. Great fun.

So imagine my surprise when there was actually fanfiction, written by dbskyler in the exact same style and equally funny!

Yay! :) The Five(-ish) Doctors Reboot (known affectionately as the Fish Doctors or as FDR) was my favorite part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations. It was a tribute to the fans as well as to the history of the show, and it was so well done and so funny. I still watch it every month or so.

Personally, I also felt that Big Finish's The Light at the End was a superior 50th Anniversary episode. It eschewed all the flash and spectacle that "The Day of the Doctor" displayed, and instead showcased five Doctors all working together and displaying the qualities of each that we love so much. As a bonus, its storyline was not riddled with plot holes. :) To me, it's the real 50th celebration.

You know what's really funny about this entry? There is my Sean right in the beginning of this video, sitting in the chair. When it came out in 2013 I had no idea who this guy was. Imagine my surprise when I read his IMDB later and saw "The Five(ish) Doctors" mentioned. So I have seen him here first, before "Gotham".

I made this entry in July 2016, and it was later that year when I started to watch "Gotham" and become a fan of him. My first post about him is from January 2017. It's just fun seeing this old post ;)

And he is even saying that he has a new show coming up in America. He started to film "Gotham" in 2014.

Isn't it awesome? This is something I never would be able to write. The more I appreciate when others do it.

Thanks for the dedication ;) And the link for the fanfiction. I love The Five-ish Doctors Reboot and the fanfiction was really in the spirit. Some bits were just priceless. So much laugh!
...Now the Five(ish) Doctors version of Steven Moffat is in my head, saying various things and laughing like a mad villain.

I love that a parody inspired a fanfic, and maybe the fanfic will inspire someone else, and the circle of inspiration and entertainment is open among fans. It's how we talk to each other and exchange opinions.

Apparently it was requested for a ficathon. So kudos to both - the one who wrote it, and the one who had the idea in the first place. Obviously it was very inspiring!

And I read now you may have been inspired as well? If ever anything comes out of it, I'd sure love to read it!

This almost could make me buy action figures of the classic Doctors so I could illustrate it. Almost.
