Our travel continues - today we are at the Hermannsdenkmal in Detmold - a memorial for the Battle of Teutoburg Forest back in 9 CE.

They look a bit like playing hide and seek ;)
I didn't always want to stand them in the same pose, that would have become boring.

There were also little plates explaining the buildings, according to this it was erected in 1875.

;) Yes, and you have to shrink yourself to visit them LOL

Not sure if you saw all the pictures of my "travel pictures" but this was two weeks ago at the big celebration of the German re-unification, which was held in Dresden this year. It will now take 16 years before we have it again (it's in a different state each year).

And all the other German states were there to represent and brought their food also (lots of yummy things). But this was the only state bringing so many miniature models and I loved it! I actually went home again to get the figures.

It was raining so not many people there.
