New haul: I saw a great action figure picture with a gargoyle in the background and realized that my collection is lacking something. And I immediately remedied it ;) This is from Safari, the company that does all the TOOB toys. It's about 7 cm / 3" high and handpainted. I think it really looks like stone!

Love Gargoyles! Have on in my bedroom window facing out for protection. Did you paint this yourself? If so fantastic job!!! It looks as if it's been on the parapet of a church for ages :)

No, I bought it like that! But in the description it said that it was handpainted. I'm not sure what it is supposed to be - a toy? Safari usually does educational toys of all kind. I often looked at them, to see if some fit the action figures, but never have stumbled about this before.

Also it is single, usually their toys are a collection - music instruments, or fruits, American landscapes or animals of the jungle, etc.

I searched a few Gargoyle figures online and liked this one best. Some were too ugly for my liking ;) Others looked cheaply made.

Sometimes you don't know what you are missing until you see it somewhere else. Then I HAD to have it. It's my first, actually.

I'd love to see a picture of yours?

Took the gargoyle out of the window to take the photographs:

Aww, he's a cutie! I hope he protects you well.

He looks a bit as if he's sulking ;)

Just 12 USD. There is another seller who wants 47 USD. I wouldn't pay that! It was the same on the German Amazon. With these things it's always worth looking around a bit. Some sellers think you pay whatever they ask.

It's only one, I just photographed it from different angles ;)

But I may get more. You can never have enough of these, right?

If you position them well, no one will know that they are just toys:-).
I must tell you that when I was in York many years ago, there was an exhibition od stone monsters found around the Cathedral. There were the cutest beasts and gargoyls I have ever seen!:-)

Aw, that sounds nice! Do you have pictures?

You don't watch Doctor Who, do you? There is one episode where stone figures become alive. It is the most scary Doctor Who figure ever. Since then whenever fans are in London, they look warily at any stone figures. The thing is, they can only move if you don't look at them. As long as you look at them, they are just statues. But even if you just blink, they will move very quickly.

Well, I have only photos in my album and my skenner doesn´t work anymore...
Ha! I did watch Doctor here and there and yes, this episode with deadly angels was really really great!:-)

I'm happy you know the angels! They are very famous. And very scary.
I even have a figure of one: http://dieastra.livejournal.com/140070.html

Sometimes I do just photograph old photographs. It works too.

"Blink" is one of my favorite episodes! It scared the daylights out of me. LOL

This is a great gargoyle!

Thank you!

Yes, I also like "Blink" very much. Even though there isn't much of the Doctor in it. This was back when Moffat was still doing great episodes.
