A wooden floor for the library

I customized the floor of the Buffy library. I wanted it to be dark wood. I was not a fan of the glaring white plus I want to look it less Buffy and more general library.
But in case I ever want to sell it as original (never!) I did not glue it, just tape cardboard to it. I also plan to make the walls dark brown. Much better, eh?

Thank you! It was a fairly easy make, but the result is stunning! I also often paint pink Barbie stuff, and just a little color makes all the difference.

Thank you! I already took some pictures today with Alfred, which will be revealed on Thursday. Him being on the ladder in a recent episode, getting a book from the shelf was the reason I got this. And it was worth every single one of those 142 GBP. I am in love! I want to shrink myself and read all the books LOL

Since you are the one with the knowledge: Was the original in the show really that white, with red stripes? I guess the red is like the carpet on the stairs, but the layout always struck me as odd.

I had to go check a video clip, because I didn't remember it being white, and looks like it does have this "pale interior with a darker edge" thing going on, although the colors are definitely not that bright or contrasting.

White is an odd choice, I feel, for both a high school library and a TV show set... But maybe they needed it to not bee too dark?

Thank you for the clips! It's nice to see the real thing, after having studied the model in such lengths. I see now where it differs, where they simplified it. I bet that was not easy to do, to keep the spirit.

Yes, indeed! I know how long I fiddled with my Gotham fence, and that was rather simple compared to this. It must have taken a long time. He said he sold the library and gave the other for auctioning for a charity. So he doesn't even have them anymore. I never could give away something I put so much work into.
