Tonight airs the last episode of "Gotham" and I want to thank everyone for 5 wonderful years. This is the picture of the last day of filming back in December.
Thank you! I put much work into this scene! It is my good-bye picture I guess. Even the official Gotham Twitter account retweeted it!
Yes, it's sad that it is over but now that I am an Orville fan I have found a new fandom. But I need action figures!
You as an old Trekkie really should start watching this. Maybe your library will have the DVDs? Mine has. Or maybe a friend who can borrow them to you?
I am sure there will be some action figues available soon, it seems that this fandom is spreading! Unfortunately our library has no science fiction DVDs ...you know: "strictly classical":-) However I do have friends who will lend me the first series soon.
And some news: After 7 years, on 31st May, we are having the premiere of our Star Trek fan film "Hidden Games"!!! I hope nothing will spoil my "moment of fame"!:-)
Yes I did! I took some pictures of when I made it. It has been a while ago so I actually forgot about them until you asked. They shall get their own post I guess! It's just paper, and I was lazy and printed the picture from the photo and glued it on. It was a bit distorted as it is not straight from the front but worked.
I am surprisingly calm. If you had asked me some months ago, I was devastated. Whenever one of the actors (especially Sean) wrote things on Twitter like "Last table read. Last time filming in Wayne Manor. Last time filming with "Bruce". Last time fitting for a new suit". And finally he posted a video of moving out of his New York apartment.
It put us into a mourning mood before the final season even had begun airing, which was very weird. When we wanted to look forward and celebrate it.
Two weeks ago at the convention I spoke with one of the actors and I mentioned that I have made my peace with it and she said they have too. We have to appreciate that we got a nice send-off, to end things properly, instead of ending mid-story. Also the way this last season has been - bit like Torchwood with destroying everything so there would be no coming back anyway. Wayne Manor destroyed! They talk about rebuilding it and last night's episode is set 10 years into the future when he is proper Batman and Alfred a proper butler so I guess I will get to see it restored then. But all those fans petitioning for the show to be saved, I really have no idea what it could be if coming back.
I do like the idea to see them all again in a few years in a special movie or something.
But the most important reason that I am not as sad as I should be is of course that I am in full "Orville" mood now which has only increased during the past weeks. Each week being stronger and stronger and we also got the season finale yesterday, so I am mourning much more that I won't see any new episodes for a long time, and we still don't even know whether there will be a season 3 or not. I hope you'll continue on to season 2. It starts slow and some complained about the lack of action and so many episodes being about love between characters, but it sure did end on a strong note.
