This post is such a hoot! His head strikes me as being a tad large, making most hats appear small. The baseball cap and the chainmail are the best fits. Well done!
The whole figure is only about 4,5" high. I bought this assortment of hats (and many more) from Wrestling figures. Some where for the larger 6-7" figures, but some were also too small for my previous figures and are fitting now. But most are actually too big for him. I knew I had a white hat but sadly it was too big so the pink one was the only one in this style. Otherwise I would have needed to go shopping on ebay but again it is really difficult trying to figure out the size of something so a lot of try and error.
I agree that I really like him in the baseball cap! Great look!
Sadly this hat did not work, I bought it for my Alfred as Sean Pertwee wore something similar once while out in the snow.
I had looked in my stash for a fitting hat before the figure even arrived and I could start work, and since then could not wait to get finished as I had all these pictures in my head already ;)
I love it when my figures talk back to me ;) Do you already know this one? Another master piece of me, even if I say so myself:

Ahaha I love the second one! I mean, I wouldn't want to wear it, but it looks great for a carnevale costume or something.
Every year in Dresden we have the "Hat ball" where people who want to dance there also have to wear a hat, and there is a competition for the most creative one. Some work on these for days and I love it especially when a pair has a matching theme. Here you can see some of those creations!
I saw it now (and commented), thanks for the link :)
I love the idea of the hat ball! It's a great way to do something creative and have fun. I sometimes wear a simple straw hat in the summer and feel like everyone on the street is looking at me. I don't see many people wearing hats outside the beach.
Yes, I really love looking at these from the creative point of view, since I am crafty myself. Trying to figure out how they did it. I guess some get quite competitive!
I don't wear hats either but I do love my baseball cap with "Vancouver" which I bought there in 2008. I love buying merchandise that is useful. It shields the eyes from the sun well, and it is in my favorite wine-red color.
It also has sparked conversations!
Once, I was walking through the inner city of Dresden, minding my own business, when some people who came into my direction asked me where the Opera house was. They were close to it and heading into the right direction, but couldn't see it yet from that point.
The important thing here is that they asked me this question in English! So I did wonder how they picked me among all the other people, and figured it must have to do with the Vancouver hat. Maybe they figured if she has this, she must know English ;)
Same when I was on a food festival. I had ordered my food in German but noticed the guy did not speak it well. So I was standing there silently and awkwardly while waiting for the food to be prepared. After a while he asked me in English whether I was from Vancouver, and we had a nice little animated chat about travelling and the like. I have no problem switching to English in a heartbeat, as I am writing it in the internet all day long anyway. But without the hat, this would have not happened!
I hate when people ask me for directions where I live, I'm so bad at it even in my native language :) I feel so relieved when I can just say "go ahead and turn right" and guilty when I don't know the exact place and I just point the general direction and say "sorry, that's all I know". Sometimes people ask me in the bus where the next stop is and I have to admit that I only know where the last stop is because that's where I'm heading and I don't really pay attention to the stops in between, I read or listen to music. I'm actually better at giving directions in Warsaw where I come on holiday, because I walk there a lot and actually pay attention where I am, finally not busy with everyday life stuff. I can even handle a conversation in English :)
Maybe they figured if she has this, she must know English If it was true! English words are on everything these days. My dad doesn't speak English, so when he's buying a t-shirt with some English words on it, he asks me what they mean because he doesn't want anything inappropriate :D
I literally had just passed the opera house, coming from that direction, and it has been standing there for over hundred years already, so yeah, I knew that one ;)
I agree with you otherwise. I don't know any street names if people ask me for one. I always ask where they want to go, as sometimes I know the place, just not the street.
I am actually good with bus / tram stops, since they are announcing them loudly on approach. So when riding the same route all day, you get them inprinted in your brain. Some years ago they had a fun thing and made children read the stations, that was a nice surprise! Everyone was smiling.
I am actually better with stops than with street names, as I am not driving a car myself. So while I know where a certain line is going, I would not know how to go there via an alternate street via car.
I once said "Go straight ahead" to a driver of a big truck. While straight ahead was a small bridge for only pedestrians. Yeah. Poor guy.
Well, I guess the Vancouver cap would look something you would bring back from a holidaay. Then again I also bought a Dresden cap and always feel weird wearing that, like a damn tourist ;)
I had it happen to me when I once took pictures of Kirk and Spock sightseeing in Dresden, a lady came, recognized them and asked if she could take a picture of her own. So we started to chat. Turned out she was from Florida. And then she asked me where I was from LOL

First this, but it was also a bit too small:

But on Kayo they looked odd and loose.

I found this account by accident, there's a lot of weird hats there. How can anyone design something like this:

?
As always, you make your figures seem like they were alive, I love it :)

This is fantastic, I love that the people with the slices of cake on their hats even have forks! It looks crazy but also you clearly see someone thought it through.
